A funeral ceremony officiant for 18 years, Karine Franzini created Minute Papillon to offer new ways of making ceremonies more personal and more human.
The Farewell Gesture, Minute Papillon’s signature creation, developed by my company Madame Rêve, allows loved ones to write a final message on a butterfly and place it on the coffin.
I also create fully customisable, full-colour wooden coffin emblems, like a piece of jewellery for the coffin, allowing each family to choose a representation that truly reflects the person who has passed away.
An approach combining creativity, inclusion and environmental responsibility: Minute Papillon works with partners from the disability sector, and the materials used are carefully selected for their recycled origin or their provenance from sustainably managed forests.
Creations designed and made in France, with the desire to bring meaning, poetry and thoughtful attention to families.
